What are Essential Oils?
What are essential oils exactly? Why are they so beneficial? Essential oils are the living fluid inside a plant. It acts as the immune system within the plant. These plant fluids are the regenerating, oxygenating, & immune-strengthening properties of plants. They are the plants life-line and are necessary for the plant to live.
How to use your Essential Oils?
There are 3 different ways to use essential oils:

Applying your Essential Oils Topically
Your skin is the largest organ of your body. This is a great way to use essential oils- applying to your skin.
When I have shoulder pain, I apply there. When I have a headache I apply to my forehead, temples and neck. When my baby is sick, can't sleep etc, I apply oils diluted to bottom of her feet. When I feel a cough coming on, I apply it to my chest. Obviously I don't apply to all of those places at one time. Usually 1-4 drops will do. Massage a few drops onto desired area or use a roller filament (which you can add to any EO bottle and are available through YL) and simply roll-on to desired body part.
Applying Young Living Essential Oils is one of the most popular ways we use our oils. When we’re not feeling well and we’re not sure “where” to apply a Young Living Essential Oil we say, “when in doubt… the soles of the feet!”
Some oils can be applied "neat" which means straight to the skin without diluting. Some oils are recommend you mix with a carrier oil, such as coconut oil (my favorite) olive oil, grape-seed oil etc. These are NOT found in the beauty care section of the store, but in the cooking isle ;)

Ingesting your Essential Oils
Yes, you can ingest essential oils. You can add the EO's to your water. My favorite is grapefruit. Super for aiding in weight loss & cleansing your body! You need to ALWAYS use glass. Oils will attack toxins.. plastic and such have toxins.
You can ingest by using vegetable capsules. You can buy these through Young Living, but most health foods stores also carry these. They are pretty inexpensive. You want the size 00. They come in 0 and 00.
I do NOT recommend ingesting ANY OTHER brand of essential oils. Young Living oils are 100% pure, therapeutic grade. But there are also some essential oils that are not good for ingesting. Please make sure you read the bottle and reference guide to make sure you can ingest and how much to ingest.

Aromatically or Diffuse your Essential Oils
You can inhale/ smell directly from the bottle or put a a drop in your hand and breathe deeply.
You can also diffuse Young Living Essential Oils. When you are inhaling and processing them directly through the olfactory system, this then sends therapeutic benefits of the oil to the brain. A diffuser will take an essential oil and break it down into micro-molicules and project them into the air.

More Info. The Real Deal! The Seed to Seal Promise
Young Living's UNIQUE SEED TO SEAL PROCESS INCLUDES FIVE PAINSTAKING STEPS!
They set the standard for essential oil purity and authenticity by carefully monitoring the production of oils through our unique Seed to Seal process. Seed. Cultivate. Distill, Test. Seal
Not all essential oils are created equal. Essential oils purchased elsewhere are primarily aromatic-grade oils meant for smelling, not for topical use and definitely not for internal use. Store bought oils can contain additives & synthetics.
Truly pure, natural quality essential oils do cost more. You definitely get what you pay for! Cheaper essential oil products that are legally labeled as “100% Pure” are actually only required to have 5% of the essential oil present in their product. (When you consider that it takes 22 pounds of rose petals to make a 5mL bottle of Rose oil, you can start to understand why the real thing costs more.)
NO other essential oil company owns their own farms. Owning farms all over the world gives Young Living the ability to truly know what the product is that they’re selling – and this is what makes Young Living the Pioneer of Essential Oils.
